Description

A porch light that does not glare at the person arriving. This outdoor down wall light throws its beam straight down the wall, so the doorstep is lit and the fitting itself stays dark.

Light on the Doorstep, Not in Your Eyes

The whole point of a downward fitting is where the light lands. The LED is recessed inside the housing and aimed at the ground, so you get a clean blade of light down the brickwork and a bright pool at the threshold, with nothing shining back at head height. That matters on a front door, at a garage or along a patio wall where an ordinary lantern simply dazzles. The body is aluminium with a black baked finish and it is sealed to IP65, so rain and a British winter leave it alone. Two sizes let you match the fitting to the wall: 35 cm for a standard front door or a garage side wall, 42 cm where the wall is broad and a small fitting would look lost.

Key Features

Recessed LED aimed downward, so there is no glare at eye level.
Clean blade of light down the wall with a bright pool at ground level.
IP65 sealed, built for exposed porches, patios and garage walls.
Black baked aluminium body that holds its finish outdoors.
Two sizes: 35 cm x 13 cm and 42 cm x 17 cm.
Hard wired, 110 to 240 V, warm or cool white.

Where to Use It

The finish

Outdoor Wall Light That Throws Its Beam Downward

The LED sits recessed and aimed at the ground, so the wall and the doorstep are lit while the fitting itself stays dark.

The light

A Lit Doorstep With No Glare at Eye Level

Sealed to IP65 in baked black aluminium, so a porch or a patio wall does not weather it.

Downward beam that lights the step, not the visitor's eyes.
IP65 aluminium body made for exposed outdoor walls.
Two sizes so the fitting matches the wall it sits on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it suitable for rain?

Yes. The housing is rated IP65, sealed against dust and water jets, so it sits on an exposed wall without a porch over it.

Does it need a bulb?

No. The LED is built in and points downward, so there is nothing to buy or replace.

Which size should I choose?

The 11 cm marks a step or a gatepost. The 35 cm suits a front door or a garage wall. The 42 cm carries a facade or a wide patio wall.

Warm or cool white?

Warm white flatters brick and timber and reads as welcoming. Cool white is crisper and suits render, metal cladding and security uses.
